About The Show

Yesternight is an eclectic mix of heavy rock’n roll dating back to the 60s to current music that generally doesn’t get air-play because of the changing tides in the recording industry.

We are the only show that we know of that plays vinyl and CD’s; opposed to the purely digital music that loses some of its uniqueness and vitality caused by compression.

The songs that are generally played are songs that the listeners love and miss because we try to steer away from the “hit singles”. Feedback from our listeners lets us know that the B-sides and non-singles are what they enjoy the most. WE play alternative versions of songs, live performance versions and music ‘covered’ by other artists; such as Twisted Sister doing an AC/DC song or Anthrax covering KISS.

Yesternight still plays music from newer bands that have the old classic rock sound and attitude that was so extremely popular in the 70s and 80s. Bands that NEED a chance to be heard, such as the Rival Sons. They have a distinct recognizable sound (similar to Led Zepplin and Aerosmith).  We saw them play in a small club last year in Minneapolis. Now they are the opening acts for bands like Deep Purple and Aerosmith. They will be playing in front of thousands of fans as they will be the openers for 2016 Black Sabbath “The End” tour. With the help of YouTube, word of mouth and radio shows, such as ours, they are being heard by thousands opposed to few.

Beyond simply playing the usual Guns n’ Roses or Def Leppard we toss in oddities like Sebastian Bach, Stryper, Volbeat, Tygers of pan tang, Prong, and Suicidal Tendencies. Every show is different, every show ROCKS!
